I'VE BEEN THREATENED BY THEM TO TAKE ME TO COURT AND GARNISH MY WAGES. THEY CALL AT WORK CONSTANTLY AND PRETEND THEY ARE SOMEONE ELSE. ASKING FOR MY WORK ADDRESS. THEY ALSO HAVE NOT NOTIFIED ME BY MAIL ABOUT ANYTHING. I'M NOT PAYING ANYTHING BECAUSE I FEEL THEY DID NOT NOTIFY ME SO THEY CAN KEEP ADDING INTEREST. WHICH ONE EMPLOYEE ADMITTED TO. WHAT CAN I DO? CAN I GO AFTER THEM FOR HARASMENT? AND NOT NOTIFYING ME? BY MAIL.

My lawyer says that he thinks there is a new Federal Law that says they must notify you in writing about the whole situation. Next time they call, tell them that you want to have a letter from the creditor stating that this collection agency has been retained by them.

Also, you can report them to the Better Business Bureau.
