I am having a problem with a creditor. They call me everyday about my payment (I am 1 month behind). They tell me to bring them a post dated check in at the beginning of every month so they wont have to call me. I dont feel comfortable with doing this. They wont let me mail my payment to them I have to hand walk it in every month. This has become a real pain. I live a good 20 to 25 minutes from them. Do I have any rights? I have told them I can make the extra payment June 30th. Everytime I get this worked out a new representive calls me and it starts all over again.
Thanks

I'll bet if you mail in the payment they'll cash the check anyway. Try it. It should be current by next month anyway. Mail your payments in. There's no law against that. If they harrass you, exercise your rights under FDCPA law. It's listed on this group.
