Ohio, Hello, we fell on hard times last year and we're unable to pay our credit card bills. I have several in court right now. I did not know what to do so I didn't answer the summons. What should I do if they obtain a default judgment against me? I am married but I have no assets, unemployed, no bank account and no property in my name. Thanks

Not a lot you can do. But there isn't much they can do either. Of course should you or your wife ever get a job you can expect at most 25% of your income to b garnished.

My husband is working now, but the credit card accounts and the lawsuits are in my name only. Is there a possibility they can levy his bank account?
