What is the name of your state? Louisiana
Child support started in California, I never made a payment and mother never accepted state support, mother started cs process then tried to cancel, state would not let her.
I have never seen child.
Mother moved from California and never left a forwarding address and didn't notify state or me.
State of California informed me case was closed.

Louisiana informed me that case is still open in Louisiana, even though California is the orignating state and Louisiana was enforcing the order for California.

How do I clear this up? I sent letters to Louisiana without response.

The child is 10 years old and I have never had any contact with child. The last time I saw mother, her and boyfriend threaten me not to return, at that time I was attempting to look at child to see if child could be mine. It's an ugly story that the state and local law enforcement never saw my side.

Help me clear this up!

Has paternity ever been legally established via you signing the birth certificate, you signing an acknowledgement of paternity or you taking a DNA test? Or did you get assigned child support by default, i.e., not replying to court papers in time?

A few things: I never signed the birth cert., she forged my name on the birth cert.
I was leaving california and she cancelled the suit, I have papers she faxed to me and child services, Child services told me they were in reciept of papers and were verifying them.
I was across the country when court date was and child services proceed with suit, thus default.
Paternity was never established.
I have no contact with either child or mother, in over 10 yrs.,
Child is 10 now.
She has never been to court, and state of louisiana doesn't care about my papers from california, they just want to enforce the order. The case has been closed in California and California has sent me release of all liens on me.

The courts has never seen anything my way, I'm a man and I'm guilty. Its embassing, but the women raped me and she said so in a letter.
I paid her $1000. for an abortion, I have the records. She walked out because she didn't have a ride home.
She always thought I would "do the right thing"
I have 2 children that I wanted and that I take care of (they live with me)
But I'm always looking over my shoulder, my license is gone and I'm sure I have a warrant outstanding.
Many times I felt like dying.
Thanks for your concerns, sorry I vented.

You are definitely going to have to get an attorney in LA to handle this for you. The problem is you've allowed them to make you the father by default. You are going to have to make a list of questions, a list of lawyers and their phone nubmers, ask your questions and find one who is not only father friendly, but who will work hard for you. Did LA or CA find you the father by default? You could have hired an attorney and not even attended the hearing, but it's too late for that now. Don't ever do that again, as you have learned.

If paternity was established by default in LA, you may be in luck. Go here: http://ocse3.acf.dhhs.gov/ext/irg/sps/selectastate.cfm click on LA and read it all, especially the section on paternity. This will be your main issue when talking to lawyers in LA to help you with this.

If you had filed a police report regarding the rape, it would help, but that is now a non-issue. So is the abortion issue.
