What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Currently in SC. Home of record is Va. Child in Ga, CSE case in Ga and Va for same child.
Hello everyone. I'm military and have recieved orders for Germany. I'll be there in a little over a month. My daughter will turn 18 and graduate HS while I'm there. We don't have a relationship.
At my request, my CS is deducted from my monthly pay. The document that finance recieved from the court only states how much to take out, not when to stop. Finance reports that they will continue to deduct until told to stop via a court order.
In reading the court order from when CSE and I went to court (for a review), the court order explains that CS will continue until the child is out of HS or 19, whichever happens first. Decree says the same thing.
My question is since the court order states this, do I still need to request a hearing to terminate support? It seems to make sense to prove to finance that she has graduated and her age, since the court order I have now states when support ends.
Your thoughts?
Thanks!
