What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Connecticut
In 1981, a friend, who was 17 at the time, was raped in her home at gunpoint. Under the Connecticut Statute of Limitations, (54-193a), my reading of the law is that there is NO time limit for a crime such as this involving a minor, where DNA evidence exists. Is that correct? Assuming the perpetrator is still alive and the rape kit still exists, could this be prosecuted today?
