What is the name of your state? IL

I had a friend of mine apply at my job and used me as a reference. She went through the interviews and everything went good. Was offered the job and is now going through the backgound check which consists of criminal and previous job employment. Now come to find out something is wrong with her drivers license after the fact. She is not sure what it could be but said it may relate to a problem she had with a retailer in the past about a check she wrote and honestly did not realize she had no funds in the bank (a couple of dollars what a dumb***), something petty and stupid. She has no criminal history and a good job history, I checked myself. If I had known this, I would have not bothered having her come in and fill out the application. Now whatever it is, I don't know (don't care) but would this have a effect on me at my job? I asked some buddies and they said no your being paranoid, thats all on her, dont worry about it. they said she just wont get the job. I'm not concerned about it. Just wanted to get an answer from one of the proffessionals here. Thanks for your time!

Why should you worry about it having any affect on your job? How would you know that your friend has an open violation or conviction on their license unless they told you. Yes I would say you are being paranoid.
