My aunt has agreed to have my 16yr old son live with me. He is a problem child in and out of the court system. I live 2hours from his mother, What type of custody I would need to enroll him in school and in case of medical emerg. If I need full custody, how do I go about obtaining that the cheapest way. You would need either legal custody or guardianship and neither can be accomplished with mom alone. You would need the permission of the father and/or the courts.
