Does Alabama law dictate that the natural mother of a child under the age of 1 year be granted physical custody? If the natural father is an abuser and there is documented proof from his ex wife and from myself shouldn't I get physical custody of my son that is now 8 months old?

This is a null question unless you have had the child taken off you. Regardless, you need to file for custody of the child to make it legal.
