Kansas:
After my son was born in 2003, He went to live with his paternal grandparents because I felt it was a better enviroment for him and I wasn't stable enough to take care of him. In 2004 I went through a custody battle with them and I won and he came to live with me in Kansas. (they live in Mississippi) Shortly there-after, I had him go back down to live with them again because I had been kicked out of my parents house and I didn't want him living out of a motel with me. For the past year I have been married had a stable houseshold and a job, and have recently had another baby. My son had came back up to live with my husband, daughter and I a couple months ago. His grandparents thought it would be best because I was stable now and they are older and his grandmother is getting more ill and he will be better taken care of here. He went down for a visit last week, my husband and I had gotten into a fight yesterday and he called my son's grandmother and now she is saying they will not bring him back up here and won't even let me speak with him, even though my husband and I have both talked to his grandmother and have worked everything out between us. Do I need to go file a child custody hearing so he will be brought back up here? I"m not really sure what to do in this situation.
