custody? settlements?

I was wondering what the regulations in FL are as far as custody issues and divorce settlements; If a wife dating before divorce papers are served or if waiting until after the papers are served is best, and if it would make any impact on if she could keep the kids.... any help? Where can i look?

Or, you can purchase a book on the subject from your local, and larger, bookstore from their "legal" section.
