I have a 9 month old son and was never married to the father
We separated and live in separate homes. I have not got legal custody and Law Officers have told me that who
ever has the child has physical custody. My ex has threatened to take my child because I live with my sister and I don't have a job right now. He plays mind games with me. Also he has me to bring our child to his home so he can
visit him. I don't own a car. I have to barrow a car to take
him. The father has a car and job. Do I have to take him or
does the father have to come see him. I want let the father
take our child away from my home because he has said that he
was going to take our son to another state. Do I need to get
a lawer or go through a medeator.

Get an attorney, or contact the state Attorney General office Child Support Division in your state (which you didnt mention)and file for paternity, custody, visitation and support to be established. Until then keep doing as you are already and if he wants to spend time with the baby have him come to your residence to do so. You dont have to take the child to him.
