im from illinois and i have custody of my 16mo daughter, and i want to move to kentucky. i need to know the steps needed to petiton the court for permission to take her out of state. the mother wont agree. thank you

I'm pretty sure you send the non custodial parent a certified return receipt letter stating you are moving and the move date (at least 30 days before the initial move) and then it is up to the custodial parent to petition the court to stop you. Then you go to court and let a judge decide.
