Myself and my cousin bought a home on Nov 3. We were told by our settlement attorney and our loan officer that our first payment was due on January 1. Some of our documents have been altered without our concent. The Attorney instructed us to sign by our first payment to signify that we understand when our first payment is due. We were given a copy of our settlement statement at closing but no other documents. We were then sent all of our papers from the settlement and a new settlement statement with new totals but they cut and pasted our signatures. Is it legal to change our documents after closing.

Is it ok to send us a changed copy of our settlement statement and cut and paste our signature regardless of whether the changes were negative or positive? This is in Prince Georges Co. MD.
