What is the name of your state? idaho

I just found out that I am the father of a 2 year old. The childs mother does not have custody. The childs maternal grandparents are legal gaurdians of the child. They do not like me and do not want me to see my child. I would like to gain custody of my child. 2 weeks a go by chance I found out there was a court hearing to determin if the mother will regain custody of the child or if the grandparents will remain the legal gaurdians. The parents are to remain legal gaurdians. The child has a state appointed attorney. This attorney todl me that Iif I had not shown up that he was going to recommend that the grandparents be allowed to adopt the child. There has been no abuse to the child by anyone The parents got the child because the mnother had left for a week and left the child with them. I am 19 years old and have a steady job for 2 years.and can support my child. The child attorney in court said that i was not fit to be a father this after talking to me for 2 minutes, at the most. Instead of being for the child he was all for the grandparents sitting over there and whispering and coaching them what to say. Please can you give me some advice Icannot come up with the money for an attorney

You really do need an attorney. Call around to see if you can find one pro bono, or for reduced fees. No matter what it costs, if you are serious about getting custody of your child, it is worth the price.
