Problem is 8 keeps comming home with lice! not good mom says, meaning me "you deal with it" I sain no more overnight visitation until we find out where? who? how? Kids are upset about lice as am. I wash everything in the house, treat heads twice a month I don't think so.Mom says "will bring sheriff" this week end to get kids I said no! What do I do? Mom from day one has paid zero$ court say an amount I have went to court for that and to DA for collection. Nothing?? OH I get a minimum 5 calls for her for money she owes everyday. It is very funny as they won't believe me she does not live here and has not since 2001 our divorce was final may 2003 child support bugun for her june 1 2004. Because I took 8 in unfit mom case that started with not getting 8 to school the others were with me from the start. Hope you can understand all this?

Well, it's a bit disjointed, but the long and the short of it is that you cannot deny her court-ordered visitation.

Incubation time for headlice is 10 days - so they may not be getting them from Mom's. It's entirely possible that they're getting them from friends, school, etc.

It's also very hard to get rid of. They will keep coming back. You have to stay on top of it and do all the little tricks. It may or may not be mom's, but you can't deny visitation.

just a thought.....

but you might want to send treatment bottles with the kids, so that mom can treat there. they are old enough to say - hey, mom - wash my hair with this.
the 13 year old is old enough to grab all the bedsheets, pillow cases and pillows and wash them - HOT WATER -- bleach is a good thing, to help ensure that eggs are not living on long after the heads are clean.

it's hard to tell, because of the incubation period if its your house or moms house, but if they got it - chances are that both houses probably have eggs, etc in them. you can do everything in the world at your place to get rid of them, but if mom isn't doing anything about her house its useless.

Lysol is also great to spray everything, including furniture down with. Bleach brushes and combs. Use hairspray on hair, it will help.
