Here's the problem. Two individuals rented an apartment and paid the damage deposit 50/50. The roomate angrily moved out when the other person was not there pushed in a wall and left gouges in the vinyl floor of two rooms. In an attempt to get the person to be held responsible for damages above his half of the damage deposit the landlord was notified and asked to send a bill to the offender. The landlord doesn't seem to want to do that. Is there any way this person can be made to be held accountable for the damage done to the apartment? Thank you.
