Hello,

My vehicle was damage during Matthew hurricane in October. I took my vehicle to the car dealership repair shop to have them to look at the where my car was flooded, a couple days later after the hurricane, The service agent at that time told me after I explained about the carpet in the car was soak and wet and he took a look at the floor of the vehicle and told me that they do not do repairs on that area and gave me a referral to a windshield repair company. I did go to the repair shop and they did service on my car and told me the problem was fixed, few days later it rain again and the car floor again fill with rain again. I went to several other shops as well. 6 months later to find out that my vehicle is now total loss by the insurance company. The vehicle is now sitting at the car dealership where I first taking it .Because of wrong advice that the service agent gave me. I have spoken to the manager of the repair shop and shared with him what I when thru for 6 months and he told me he could not understand why the service agent would tell me that when they fixed several vehicles in that month due to the storm. Please are there any legal recourse for what the car dealership repair shop did on giving me the wrong diagnosed make at the beginning.

I'm sorry, but you don't have any recourse against the dealer. You can't sue them for what they didn't do.

Did you take steps to protect your car once you found out the repairs didn't work 6 months ago?

Yes, as I said before I went to several shops, because through out the 6 months my vehicle began to have a history of breaking down and I had to call roadside assistance. My insurance company does have the history of how often I call during the 6 months. Each time I would get the repair on the vehicle done I though the problem was fixed. But at the end of April my vehicle broken down and my insurance company has called it a total loss. After towing to my car dealership they misdiagnosed it a few days ago and finally I got the correct diagnose-my wires were filled with water.

How is any of this taking steps to protect your car? I'm talking something along the lines of a tarp.
