I am trying to find out if I have a case. Recently, I ordered some dirty to be delivered and dumped in my yard. I was told the dirt was going to be dumped on the curb by the sidewalk in front of my House. In the process of dumping the dirt the Truck broke a water line at my house and a vacant house next door. The truck also left my yard heavily damaged. The city came out and fixed the water line and told me I would be liable for the parts they had to replace. The city also told me I would have to fix a leak that was caused by the damage. The company who delivered the dirt is saying they are not responsible.

Do I have a case?

Can't say whether or not you have a case, but I suggest that you make a claim with your homeowners coverage for the damage. It may be covered.

As to whether you have a case, take photos and then meet with lawyers in your area and see what they think.
