What is the name of your state? I know it says US only, I'm from Toronto Canada but I believe that this kind of situation isn't restricted by state.

Who responsible for the damages in this scenario. I buy a piece of used equipment, the buyer lets me do an inspection and I go ahead and purchase it. A week later when I try the piece of equipment out I find out that it’s actually damaged. What are my rights? Would I be successful in pursuing a lawsuit?

You have the right to KNOW that Canada is NOT the USA... no matter how much you whine.

Would I be successful in pursuing a lawsuit?
Absolutely. Sue their asses off. Maybe you can include the queen in your suit.

Oh, and if you are still too dense... "US Law Only"
