I bought property in Texas in Sept. 1985 on a 15 year note with the first payment do Oct. 1st. This loan has been sold 3 or 4 times to various companies over the years. On Sept. 1, 2000 I made my 180th and final payment. In Oct. 2000 I received a past due notice for my Oct. payment. I immediately called and told them there is some mistake because Sept. was my last payment. They show I am paid through Sept. 2000 however they say I still have a YEAR left on the loan! That their records show we purchased the property in 1986. I mailed certified a copy of the contact to them along with the copy filed in the courthouse on 11-13-85. I have yet to receive my deed and can not get anyone to answer or return my repeated calls and messages on their voice mail. This has now been going on for 4 months! HELP!
