What is the name of your state? California

i've just seen my credit report, trying to determine whether my debt's statute of limitation has expired; i believe it has. But on the Date Reported, which i believed to be the last known activity, the date is far past when i would have paid. Is this when my debt was sold? And if it is, how do i go about finding when MY last payment/first non-payment was? thank you for your time. this is sure a roller-coaster. happy/sad...happy.....sad/happy....... ?

thanks.
jeff.

"Date reported" is NOT the date to use to determine the legal SOL of the debt. You need a 'date of last activity' - which is usually the last date a payment or charge was made. Date reported is nothing more than that - the date the creditor or collection agency last reported the status of the debt to the bureaus. If you've only pulled one report, or pulled a tri-merge, then you need to pull 1 report from EACH of the bureaus. Tri-merge reports lack critical details.
