Dates on deposit return

What is the name of your state?
Tn.
On return of security deposit its 30 days in Tn
.Is that date from the day sent or received ? .
Its forwarded from address of the rental, an taking a while to reach them , almost 11 or 12 days an sent certified .

I would think its date sent since no one can control the mail forward time .

Because long delays in mail delivery have been common the last couple of years, mailing early when possible can be smart. Keep copies of all correspondence with your tenant and proof of all mailings.
