me too

I am just curious too. Because, I do know people who have no legal seperation but the parties are seperated and both have legal residence not with eachother. Is there a time period or do you have to be "legally" seperated?

It's a 2yr old post and a new thread would have made more sense, but whatever... Until you are divorced, you're married. Will a judge care a hell of a lot. Probably not. Until you come across one who does, and feels that it's a poor example to set for your kids and gives the other spouse custody.

Generally, when you're going through a divorce, the last thing on earth you're ready for - emotionally - is dating. Why do you suppose the divorce rate for 2nd (and subsequent) marriages is so high? Because people don't bother takign the time to discover what part of the marital breakdown they need to own (and we all do), and go out and make the same bloody mistakes. And then wonder what happened. Again.
