What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Utah. I am sixteen, I turned sixteen on June 20th. My boyfriend is turning eighteen on October 19th, there's less than a two year age difference between us. I was wondering what the laws were on us dating, because neither of us wants him to get in trouble, but we don't want to give up our year and a half long relationship.

Okay, one more time. This has been stated several hundred times; there is a search function on this site for a reason.

No law, in any state (repeat, NO law in ANY state) has any laws about who may DATE. You may DATE anyone of any age as long as your parents give you permission.

The law does not care who you DATE. The law only cares who you have sexual contact (which is NOT limited to intercourse) with.

This is a question you should be posing to mommy and daddy. If mommy and daddy say no dating..then guess what...no dating:D
