What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? florida
My 13 year old daughter went to her friend’s house and broke her collar bone on their trampoline. We asked them for their home owner’s insurance policy number and they said they submitted a claim and that an adjuster would be getting in touch with us. My daughter is getting worse since the emergency room visit and the doctor said if she gets worse to immediately see a specialists. The specialists are requiring a policy number. I just started work after being unemployed for a while and am not yet eligible for insurance. Shouldn't they have given me their insurance policy number instead of contacting an adjuster? And by the way, neither my wife nor I was asked permission for our daughter to play on their trampoline

Um...you can't even file a claim without talking to the adjuster. The "medical payments to others" coverage will pay her medical bills regardless of fault. If all you're concerned about is getting your bills paid, then you don't have to worry about them disproviing anything. If you don't cooperate with the adjuster, however, you're only making life more difficult for yourself.
