My 21 year old daughter's boyfriend took credit cards that belonged to other people. After using the cards, he showed them to her. She didn't report him (fear) and was arrested for theft by unlawful taking. The officer who questioned her asked her about the cards. It seems the boy was arrested for something and told the police about the cards and told them that my daughter took them and used them. The police say they are working on this case, but we can't get anyone to tell us anything. Please advise!

Sounds as if the police are still conducting their investigation. Until the investigation is completed and turned over to the DA for filing charges, there isn't much to find out. If your daughter took the cards and used them she could be charged with being the principle to the crime; if she knew he used them and did nothing, she may be charged as an accessory after the fact; if she assisted him or benefitted from the use, she may be charged either as a principle or an accomplice. At this point all you can do is wait until the investigation is completed and the DA files charges.
