My daughter is 14 and has had some issues with a PE and science teacher for some years. At first they were not sexual, but she had my daughter over to her house quite a bit; she does have a daughter of same age. At the age of 12 she was constantly pulling my child off to the side asking questions, family issues to are you on your monthly cycle. This is a catholic school teacher and a Girl Scout troop leader. I took out a report on this same teacher 2 years ago for stalking me and my family. Had talks with the Principle in the school and have sent letter to the catholic dioscese. Noting was done, of course swept under the rug. Last month my child went on a weekend trip with the girl scout troop, the day they were leaving(a cargo type bus or van with side doors) my daughter was sitting on the outside seat; she had her legs propped up on the other seat in front of her; the teacher/girl scout leader was out side the van looking up towards my daughter; My child was wearing a pair of white shorts-no dress; The teacher said to my daughter (looks like your privates are hanging out, the women at the same time she said pocked her finger on my childs vagina. My child is extremly nervous over this matter and 2 weeks later in New york city on a girl scout trip again; asked my child that she could go with her to the bathroom and when my daughter answerd thats okay; she grab her butt cheeks as a grop.
WHAT CAN i DO!
Police say its a jurisdiction problem because it all happened outside of our city and state
This is why the kids have trouble later in life. Jusridiction is bogus!

Have you complained to the girl scouts regarding this instance? As for jurisdiction being bogus, WHY on earth would you allow your daughter to go on a trip with this woman whom you know has been out of line with your child? Why would you allow your child to be in contact with this woman? Jurisdiction is not the problem -- your parenting choices are. Complain to the police in the jurisdiction where this took place. Complain to the Girl Scout district office. Complain to the Church again. And for crying out loud, make better choices to PROTECT YOUR CHILD. For two years you have had problems with this person and yet you consent to your daughter going on a trip where she is present? :eek:

Perhaps you ought to contact the police in the location this occurred? I cannot believe that you couldn't come to that conclusion.
Perhaps you ought to not send your daughter on these trips with that leader? I cannot believe that you couldn't come to that conclusion.
Perhaps you ought to keep the pressure up on the diocese? I cannot believe that you couldn't come to that conclusion.

you file a report with the appropriate police department.

Since it happened in NY, you report it to the NY authorities.

The laws of the state and locality she was in when the incident happened is what would apply. That is why you must deal with the police from the proper jurisdiction.

It sounds like the touch on the child's genitals possibly took place in Georgia. If so, the local Georgia police would be the entity to deal with that particular incident.

Also, if it was on a Girl Scout sanctioned trip, the local Girl Scout office would be able to intercede on behalf of the child. If they are told. But I still question OP's actions.

You may think it is bogus, but as a simple matter of legality the police where you live have NO jurisdiction to take any legal action. None. They can take your daughter's statements, and maybe even interview the suspect and any witnesses that reside within their jurisdiction, but they would still have to forward all the info to the agency of jurisdiction where the alleged offense actually occurred. If you're in Savannah, GA and the incident occurred in NY (or vice versa) then the local police could not pursue the matter if they wanted to.

Contact the law enforcement agency of jurisdiction where the act was alleged to have occurred. And, as others have mentioned, speak to the diocese, the Girl Scouts, and maybe even an attorney. Oh, and get your daughter into counseling immediately!

All of everyones concerns are greatly appreciated. To some of you guys; I have tried over and over to get matters resolved; But my 14 year old child lives with her mother and her mother has totally not listen to her issues; she has come to me her father for help and yes now she is getting it; I have had enough of the school and the church; I have been asking for help and it keeps getting washed; Yes I know of Jurisdiction process; already working on that right now. I have set up a counselor for her too see; Attorney is set up this week and I am going to the school again. Girl scouts is recieving a letter; I have been told thats the guidelines for complaint.
I am saying this is what takes place and why the children do not get help in our society for years after the issues begin; This is why it takes 20 years to get these nuts taken care of;
Thank you again for your thoughts

And what did you do in the last two years through the court to get your child help? Oh nothing. You didn't go back to court to force counseling or anything.

The problem is, you were derelict in your duty to protect your child. As was mom. But you are making excuses.
