What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I am a father of a 6 year old girl. The mother of my child wants me to pay half for day care. She is getting a new shift at work. She has primary physical custody of our daughter. I pay my child support every month on time, and nothing was said in our child support agreement about day care costs. Am I obligated to help her with this cost? If so, what percentage of the cost must I pay? Thanks for your help!

You are responsible for your child support amount that is court ordered. If daycare was NOT included mom can file to have child support recalculated to include it.

I agree. However I will also add that its quite normal for daycare expenses to either be included in the child support calculation, or if not, for the ncp to be responsible for a pro rata percentage..

Agreed but his court orders would state that he was to pay a pro rata percentage. I was assuming (which is NEVER good) that his court orders did not say anything about paying a pro rata.

I was assuming the same. I just wanted him to know that it was "normal".
