I am a registered DayCare provider in NY. I found out today (April 25, 00) that one of my parents hasn't complied with the state in applying for Child Care Subsidy. As of now, this lady owes me $918.00. I tried to explain to her that she has until 12pm on April 27th to get all her paper work in order or else I'm not watching her kids anymore. Well, she told me that she wasn't bringing them here anymore then. What do I do???

My response:
Go to your nearest Small Claims court. There, you'll find FREE advisors - - not to advise you in the law - - but to help walk you through the "paper process" and how best to present your paper evidence and your case in general, to the judge. This is a fairly quick method to get your money from the mother.
Good luck.
