What is the name of your state? Florida

I just got a letter from DCF stating that the claim my ex put in on me was un founded. (He filed an abuse charge for head lice in February). He withheld visitation from me for over a month because of the "pending" investigation.
Can I file a contempt charge for a false claim to DCF?

If the child did have head lice then it would not necessarly be a false claim. The purpose of him making the claim is to give DCFS the opportunity to investigate the alligation of abuse. An unsubstanciated report atypically means 2 things. 1) There is no proof of abuse (they susspect it might be true but it cannot be proved) or 2) there is no abuse at all. The Father is well within his rights to file abuse charges. What does your court order say?
Who has custody? It seems kinda stupid to me that if he has the children with him most of the time that he filed abuse charges against you for head lice but some people are stupid like that. You can file contempt charges against him for refusing visitation. Most judges will require him to show proof that abuse took place. Just because a parent thinks that head lice is abusive, it does not give them the right to refuse you visitation.
