My son bought a registered dog from a private breeder for $270. Within a week the dog was dead from a "parasite" and left a $300 vet bill. My question is: Who is liable? Can he get any or all of his money back? He still has all his papers and receipts. The man will not return his phone calls. The rest of the litter also died.

Your post says that "He still has all his papers and receipts.". What EXACTLY, if anything, do they say about refunds or policies regarding health or death of the animal???
