What is the name of your state? ME
I hate to beat a dead horse but we haven't heard a thing.
Background, landlord was MIA, found dead after 5 months, 5 months of rents checks came back.
HOA is giving us attitude but I can live with that.

We left messages with family member. He was in contact with our realtor briefly over a week ago and said he'd be in touch.
I'm SORRY SHE DIED AND HER FAMILY DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL WE STARTED HUNTING FOR HER BUT WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Moving is in the top 10 of stress related problems. I would like to know if I should start the hunt AGAIN or wait it out and hope someone gives us at least 30 days notice to vacate so we have time to find a place.
What do people do in this situation. I've never been and it's building a huge knot in my back and causing me and the husband to argue.
Also, what do I do about a reference?
We looked the other day at places and people ask "why are you moving" our answer, "landlord died" This is insane!
