I was in a car accident almost a week ago. I was not at fault. The other driver recieved the ticket. And I also was driving my roommates car with him and my fiance in it. We were hit on the side (T-Boned) and the car fliped over and came to rest on the drivers side. I and my roommate recieved most of the injuies as we cushioned the blow for my fiance in the middle. Now I have called both insurance companies and his (the guy who hit us) insurance company will only cover my medical bills and and 60% of my time off from work. Which has been a full week.
Am I entitled to more than that or am I just SOL! This is the biggest bunch of crap that I have ever heard. I was just driving along and now I have to pay out my had earned money! Not to mention that I missed work.(Money) And I am in pain every time I sit down or bend over. And if I want to get fixed I have to pay for it myself! Thats just WRONG!!!

Can some one please tell me if I am entitled to any other type of compensation?

Thanks,
Injured and out of luck.

 I have spoken to there insurance and I have a lawyer, but what they are all telling me is since that this accident was in Florida and that the other guy only had pip and collision, that will not be able to recover anything except for my medical bills and my time out of work. None of my out of pocket expenses or any type of compensation for pain and suffering.
Is this true am I really SOL.

My response:

Florida is a No-Fault State. This is a typical scenario of No-Fault States. This is what the Insurance companies DIDN'T tell the voters when they voted for No-Fault.

Never believe what insurance companies tell you. They tell you only if it's in their interest to tell you.

Next time it comes up on the Ballot, VOTE AGAINST IT !!
