Similar to the guy that moved from NY to Cali. We moved from Cali to Colorado. Called to get payment info and the dealer said we were declined the approval of the loan. We left the dealer with approval from a credit union. To start the dealer has been a real problem. We had purchased a 1998 Chevy Malibu from a tent sale from the cali dealer. Through the financing of that vehical they switched cosigner and buyer to get the loan approved. This problem was reversed after 3 weeks of fighting with the dealer. Then the malibu started to break down. So the dealer takes it in on a trade for a 2000 Galant. They paid off the loan on the malibu and added the neg. on the malibu to the loan price of the Galant. We saw that we were approved for the loan through a credit union that the dealer picked. So a week or so later we moved to colorado. Now the dealer says we are no longer approved and that they are going to take us to court for the neg value of the malibu and for having to come pick up the car in colorado. Is the dealer bluffing or do they always sue a customer if they are not approved for a loan??? The situation is complicated.
