I'm just gonna get right to the point and find out if this is even worth pursuing. To sum it all up my family and I had purchased 3 vehicles from our local honda dealership in the past year. After such a long time I actually decided to look at my statements with the bank for the financing and I know I should have been more aware of this from the beginning. With the 3 vehicles we bought the down payment I had made on these three cars are no where to be found. I have statements of all 3 payments to the dealership and not one down payment shows as a payment on any of the cars. Example would be on my 13 civic we agreed on 18+ which tax, title etc. And my loan came out to 20k total. Really high I know for last year but I wasn't aware of it and should have read everything, I've been paying this car since the whole amount and my 2500 for the down payment never reflected. The financing department told me the down payment went 100% to my interest which is total bull. I went to a friend of mine and asked him about it "he's been selling cars for some time and he's an ex financing manager" he told me what really happened. Not only that but the dealership told me I could just walk away and they'll finish the paperwork for me and I was very exhausted and very stupid to do that but that's my dilemma. And I am sure the same happened with the other two vehicles.

The finance company would normally have no record of your down payment. The amount you finance is the net amount AFTER your down payment. What you need to look at is your original purchase agreement. That will reflect your down payment.
