What are the consequences of a judgement for collection of a debt with wage garnishments that has been dismissed and then renewed?

Your question is incomprehensible as written.

What judgment?

What wage garnishment?

What has been dismissed and why?

What has been renewed and why?

Try to be a little more detailed so we can figure out what you're talking about.

In trying to gather some sense from your question IF by "dismissed" you mean that a Maryland judgment has "expired", the obvious legal "consequence" is that it no longer has any force or effect. But judgments are not dismissed! They can expire, be satisfied, reversed on an appeal or in certain instances vacated or set aside.

In your state a judgment will expire after 12 years unless renewed within that period. If not renewed the judgment will permanently expire after the 12 years and cannot be reinstated. (Rule 2-625 Maryland Rules of Civil Procedure)

Now instead of presupposing things you are unsure of why don't you simply explain the circumstances that has prompted your question. You supply the facts. Let someone knowledgeable supply the law.
