Debt for a boat

Currently I live in Missouri where the boat was purchased. Unfortunately the boat was repo'd and I thought everything was cool. The boat was repo'd over 10 years ago. I am getting calls from a collection agency for some sort of residual debt. What are my options.

The debt is out of the statute of limitations. Send a letter, certified mail return receipt requested, stating the debt is time barred and not to contact you again.
