Dec statement/renlistment

North Carolina fort bragg so I have less then a year left on my contract ETS 3 April 2020 I got orders to Benning report date is August 10th and they said I have to either reenlist or sign a dec statement I know all the stuff about signing a dec statement and I dont want to reenlist I've done almost 6 years and I want out I just want to know do I have to sign the dec statement before my levy brief and what is the time frame to sign the statement thank you.

Chapter 4 speaks to dcs statements.

There is a plethora of info if you search for military dcs statement on the Internet. I ran across a forum that had a very good conversation on the matter.
