What is the name of your state? NJ
Hi, i need help if anyone has any suggestions. my mom returned a product to a company by mail (the company is in NJ). They sent her a letter stating that because of their money back guarantee policy, her refund check would arrive within a few weeks. That was in September. In mid-November, still not receiving the check she called them back. They apologized, stated that they had noted that she was due a refund, but stated that there was no record indicating that the refund was actually issued. The lady said that they would drop it in the mail immediately. A few days later, my mom received another letter from them stating that the refund would arrive in a few weeks. Not receiving it, she called again and this time, the operator claimed that he could not locate the department that sold the product, then he just passed her around to dept after dept with no one understanding what dept she should talk to. Finally, he claimed that noone by the name my mother was giving was on their payroll even though my mother has letters signed from this person in their customer service department and reference numbers on each letter. would it be safe to say that they are stringing my mom along. She lives on a fixed income and needs her money. What can she do?
