I bought a canoe that had an advertised weight of 43 pounds, but it really weighs 49 pounds. Low weight normally commands a premium price ($ hundreds) in canoes. When I complained, the manufacturer emailed me that they are aware of the difference and would be updating their weight specifications for their 2001 catalog. Three months later, their web site still shows the wrong weight.

I am okay with my purchase, but what can I do to "help" the manufacturer correct their advertised weight? They have not responded with a correction despite several requests.

Thank you,

John
Dallas, Texas (Manufacturer is in Tennessee)
