What is the name of your state? NJ

Hello,

I would like to know what recourse does a woman have if she was dating a man for a few months, they broke up on bad terms and he emailed explicit photos of her to her coworkers. To clarify, she was aware the photos were taken and consented at the time. He is from NJ, she's from NY.

Thanks.

I'm not saying she wouldn't have any recourse; according to the attorney I asked about this sort of situation, she might or she might not depending on the specific facts.

But any recourse she did have would have nothing to do with defamation, which requires that FALSE statement be made. Sending photos does not meet that standard.

She should discuss the situation with a local attorney. She should also be careful who she consents to have nude photos taken by.

We would need to see a copy of the pictures in order to determine the answers to some of the complex legal issues involved.

**A: to clarify, the writer needs to post a link to the photos.

There's truth in the saying about if you never want naked pictures of yourself to show up anywhere then don't have them taken.

Good to see the "boys" here are being true to form. :D
