What is the name of your state? South Carolina

I apologize if this is posted in the wrong forum. In 2002, my friend was attending the State Criminal Academy to become a certified corrections officer when she was accused of theft. She was pulled from formation the day before the final exam and told, in front of 300 people, that she would not be able to graduate because of these allegations. She was never arrested or even charged with a crime, but she was not allowed to take her final exam and subsequently lost her job. What, if any, recourse does she have?

None. While this is probably a procedural due process claim, her claims are time-barred, because she waited to long to file suit or do anything about it. There is typically a 1 year statute of limitations on constitutional issues, which would prevent her from doing anything about this.
