I was injured on the job and taken to get medical treatment from patient first. My manager handled the paperwork while I was looked at in 2002. He botched the paperwork and Bestbuy's insurance was never billed. I was instead billed and never recieved any paperwork, it then went to a collection company and dropped my credit score from 745 to 603 over three years. I have just this month gotten them to admit that i never owed the amount and to lift it off my credit score.

however, in the time between I was denined a home morgage, car loan, paided a high interest rate or my current car loan and credit cards and also paid more for auto insurance and this was the only negative peice on my credit. I was wondering, being as though in MD it is against the law for them to come after me in a workmens comp case, what compensation I am entitled to and also what average settlements for a case like this are.
