What is the name of your state? Alabama I have been teriminated for one reason. Several other employees have talked about this discharge to my fiancee and other people. They have not been truthful and have caused serious troubles between my fiancee and I. What they have been saying is maybe 20% the truth which leads me to believe that management has leaked out detail of this termination. I know that when people are discharged that companies tell their other employees that if they talk about the discharge that they may face discplinary action. Why is this? Also is there any liabilites a compay has when dealing when its employees defaming a other employees character?

Management may "leak out" as much detail as they want, to anyone they want. The law does not limit an employer's right to discuss a termination with anyone they choose.

I know that when people are discharged that companies tell their other employees that if they talk about the discharge that they may face discplinary action. Why is this? Well, to start with, not all employers do this. The ones that do may have any number of reasons why.

Possibly, IF defamation has taken place. But nothing in your post indicates that this has happened to you. And the burden of proof is on you to show that it has.
