What is the name of your state? GA

I am a new supervisor in my workplace. I have an employee who has falsely accused me of harassment, discrimination and creating a hostile work environment for him. He has incited half of the staff against me with lies that I called the staff members inappropriate names. There have been several investigations as a result of these lies and all the investigations revealed that they could not prove their claims against me. This employee was found to have provided false statements about me to the investigators under sworn statements. There have been a total of four different investigations initiated by this employee in an attempt to incriminate me, discredit me, embrass me, intimidate me and harass me. The last straw for me is the complaint he has made against me to the State Licensing Board for our profession. His malicious attempts are designed to ruin my reputation and keep the staff from associating with me. This behavior has been very offensive and distressing to me and has interferred with my ability to effectively manage my department because some of my staff believes the claims against me by this employee, which has resulted in a very stressful working relationship with some of my staff and other employees in the organization. I have spent the last 4 months trying to defend my reputation. So, I would like some advice about taking legal steps to resolving this issue.

There are thousands of posts similar to yours so I have prepared a standard answer:

Get a lawyer.

Invest $20K and three years.

Sue the bad people for defamation.

If you win, expect them to keep doing it.

If you lose, expect them to keep doing it.

Stand by for other opinions.
