What is the name of your state? BC

Someone I know took their car for repairs to a known dealership. The repairs did not solve the problem and the work done was terrible. Upon close examination of the receipt (printed in typeface) , it said "fuc**ng ______ (second word I think said "idiot" or "loser") in notes section.

There is no salesperon name on this receipt. There is a date and time stamp (it is a generic receipt lacking any company letterhead...as if it was printed from DOS)

The dealership refuses to do any further related-repairs under car warranty and service person denies knowledge of derogatory statement on receipt...

Is there any basis for a law suit? Would a lawyer take this case for free (no costs, even for leters,....)?

Are there any case law examples for BC (similar instances and awards given)?

And in the US, you would have no grounds for a lawsuit, let alone one that would be taken pro bono.

You Live in British Columbia. This is a U.S. Law website which is plastered all over this site. You ask a question about Canadian law on a U.S. Law site.

You just proved the mechanic's point.....F***ing idiot

Actually, BB had me LOL.

As to the lawsuit. What damages would you claim...even in Canada? They hurt your feelings? Is that actionable in BC? They may have just been making an observation with a crude way of expressing it.

Still laughing.

Still.....chuckle....laughing.
