I live in california. I filed for divorce and the last paperwork I filed was Request-Enter Default Filed by Petitioner. My husband did not respond and it's been 3 months so I am safe to move on to the next step. What do I need to file next? There are 4 children involved and I need a child support order. I know that he will not fight anything. There is no property to split. The only issue is the kids which again, he will not fight/respond anything. What are my next steps and paperwork? I have downloaded many forms but I am reading different information when looking it up online. Please help.

I believe I am supposed to now file a Judgement Package but what does that include. Remember I need child support as well. Thanks in advance.

I don't know the procedures, but California has an excellent self-help program. Search for the URL or ask your court clerk.

(Or you can wait for someone to give you the answer, but you're better off if you can learn to navigate the system on your own).

What is in your judgment package will be based on what is in your petition. We'll probably not going to be able to help you with this one because we can't see the petition and all its attachments.

Unfortunately, I have not had help with the self help centers because the one's in my areas require you start with them and I started on my own. I thought this would be simple because I am not dealing with property, money (other than asking for child support). All I wanted was a simple divorce. He will not respond, he does not want custody, etc. This has been more of a headache and stress for me more than the marriage...lol I kid. I just want this divorce to be over. Is there any idea of what I have to fill out next? Aain, no money, just custody and support.
