What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

This is a purely hypothetical scenario. Let's say I am a Chinese corporation and somehow invented a popular consumer device. Now let's say that someone in Alabama decides to sue me for copyright infringement but he has no evidence against me. The person in Alabama sues me but I don't respond. Does the person in Alabama automatically win by default?

We don't do "hypothetical scenario"s. Nor do we "do" homework. :)

Nope. Almost nothing is "automatic".

If you follow proper procedure, you may get a default judgment.
