How do I get the store to fix a bad installation of floor covering (laminent).
Sewell, NJ

I purchased some laminent floor covering for
my home. The local, privately owned, store
arranged for the product and an installer.
The installer was competent. But while he
was installing the floor covering, he installed a board that had a flaw in its apperence (a mark).
The installer was asked to fix the mark, and commented that it will disappear in time.
The installer left, the contract was paid.
Upon a closer look, the mark ws made during
manufacture. This was brought to the store
owner's attention. The store arranged for
a distributor's representative to inspect the
floor. The distributor agree, it was a
manufacturing defect. The board should be
replaced.
It has been 10 months since then. The board has not been replaced. The distributor is
telling me that they would gladly replace the
board, but not arrange for installation,
that is the responsiblity of the store.
The store tells me that there are no
professionals available that can replace a
board without damaging the whole floor.

I just want the floor fixed. I have asked for the entire floor to be replaced.

The original cost of materials and installation was $600.00.

The store is giving me a cold shoulder.

Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.
